Around the world, communities fight every day for fair and equal health services. In this 15-part video series, GFAN advocates, and community leaders share what health equity means to them and why fully funding the Global Fund is critical to achieving it.

Health equity to me means ensuring equity for all, taking into account their personal needs and characteristics to ensure a life that is dignified, healthy, happy, and protected — because every single human life matters.”

For Maher Sleiman from Lebanon, health equity is about recognizing the individuality of every person — understanding that fairness in health requires meeting people where they are, with their unique challenges and strengths. His message is a call to protect dignity and ensure that no one is left behind in the pursuit of health and wellbeing.
