Euch di Europäische Kommission sollte dazu ihren Beitrag leisten! Der Text des Aufrufs findet sich unten.

Better Health = Brighter Futures Campaign

Investing in health has many benefits: ensuring brighter futures for all, expanding societies’ resilience, allowing communities to thrive, building more sustainable economies, and strengthening innovation. It delivers endless possibilities. Ending HIV, TB, and malaria is fundamental to improving health outcomes for all. This is why we urge the EC to continue investing in the Global Fund.

Better Health = Brighter Futures: Ending HIV, TB, and malaria means brighter futures for millions around the world. Health is the foundation upon which we can build a more equitable, prosperous, and sustainable world. By investing €715 million in the Global Fund, the European Commission will help ensure 23 millions of lives are saved, global health security is strengthened, and communities everywhere have the chance to thrive.

Better Health = Resilient Societies: A healthy population is the backbone of any resilient society. By addressing HIV, TB, and malaria, we’re not just saving lives—we’re strengthening economies, reducing inequalities, and ensuring that societies can face the challenges of the future with confidence. The Global Fund’s work directly contributes to building resilient health systems and tackling the social and economic disparities that exacerbate these diseases. This investment will help the Global Fund continue its vital work, ensuring that health systems are prepared for future health threats and beyond.

Better Health = Thriving Communities: When communities are healthy, they flourish. By committing €715 million to the @Global Fund, the @European_Commission is investing in thriving communities that can reach their full potential. People will no longer live in fear of preventable diseases. Children will be able to continue their education, youth can thrive, and men and women can reach their full potential—farming, working, and spending time with their loved ones. Fighting HIV, TB and malaria will contribute to stronger local economies, better education, and a more sustainable future.

Better Health = Sustainable Economies: The link between health and economic growth is undeniable. Tackling HIV, TB, and malaria reduces the economic burden on nations by lowering healthcare costs and strengthening social systems. It’s also a smart investment: every $1 spent fighting these diseases generates $19 in health gains and economic benefits. Moreover, when people are healthy, they can study, work, innovate, and contribute fully to their communities and economies. By investing €715 million in the Global Fund, the European Commission can help secure long-term economic stability.

Better Health = Stronger Innovation: Innovation is key to defeating the most stubborn diseases of our time. The Global Fund’s partnership with governments, the private sector, and communities has brought groundbreaking innovations in treatment, prevention, and technology that continue to save lives and reshape the future of healthcare. Investing in the Global Fund today is an investment in tomorrow’s breakthroughs—whether through advancements in digital health, AI-powered diagnostics, climate resilient health systems, or new treatment methods that can end the epidemics once and for all.

Better Health =Safer World: Global health security relies on defeating infectious diseases like HIV, TB, and malaria. Investing in the Global Fund strengthens health systems, prevents future pandemics, and protects everyone, everywhere. It builds mutual resilience. Investing in global health also reduces state fragility, stabilizes vulnerable countries, and enhances security worldwide.

Better Health = Endless Possibilities.

The Call to Action: We urge the European Commission to pledge €715 million to the Global Fund. This investment will help save 23 million lives, accelerate progress toward ending HIV, TB, and malaria, and lay the foundation for a healthier, more prosperous future for all. With €715 million, we can turn the tide on these diseases, protect the progress we’ve made, and ensure that health is the key to unlocking a brighter, more resilient world. Together, we can ensure that better health delivers endless possibilities.
