Kennen Sie Ihren HIV-Status?

Haben Sie sich schon mal auf HIV testen lassen? Oder sich mit dem Gedanken getragen, Sie könnten sich mit dem HI-Virus infiziert haben? Falls ja, dann kennen Sie möglicherweise die Gedanken und Fragen, die Menschen dabei durch den Kopf gehen: „Wie wird sich mein Leben verändern, wenn ich HIV-positiv getestet werde?“ „Wie werden die Menschen in meinem Umfeld auf diese Diagnose reagieren?“ „Werden meine Eltern, Geschwister, Freunde und PartnerIn zu mir stehen?“.
Die Publikation „Haltet die Versprechen! Zugang für Alle!“ stellt die Lebensgeschichten von fünf Menschen aus Südafrika vor. Sie verdeutlicht an Beispielen, welche tragischen Folgen ein ungenügender Zugang zur HIV-Prävention und Behandlung mit sich bringt. Sie zeigt aber auch, wie diese Folgen durch die Solidarität der Mitmenschen, die Selbsthilfeinitiativen der Betroffenen und die medizinische Versorgung abgemildert werden können.
Hier können Sie das Thema multimedial entdecken. Sie erfahren von persönlichen Schicksalen und wie der Zugang zu HIV-Behandlung, Prävention und Pflege Leben rettet aber auch was noch getan werden muss. Wo stehen wir im Moment? Was muss noch geleistet werden? All dies und noch mehr können Sie in dem animierten Flashfilm entdecken.
Das Jahr 2010 war von großer Bedeutung für den Kampf gegen HIV/AIDS, weil nach dem Versprechen der Staatengemeinschaft der universelle Zugang zu nötiger Aidsbehandlung und Vorbeugung am Jahresende gegeben sein sollte. Es wird sehr wichtig sein, kritisch zu begleiten, wie die internationale Gemeinschaft mit dem Nichterreichen des Zieles umgehen wird.
Das Aktionsbündnis hatte zu diesem Anlass zusammen mit der obigen Animation die Broschüre „Zugang für alle! Haltet das Versprechen" herausgeben, welche ein wichtiges Instrument der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit war:
