Invitation to a Round–Table–Meeting at the „13. Münchner Aids-Tage"

 

Tübingen, 10.02.2010: As part of the "13. Münchner Aids-Tage" the Pharma working group of the Action Campaign against AIDS together with Dr med. Hans Jäger would like to invite you to the next Round–Table–Meeting held on Thursday, March 4, 2010.

In this meeting we would like to share ideas and discuss issues linked to the two agenda areas.

Agenda

• Patent Pool
  In December 2008 UNITAID introduced the Patent Pool officially. Which position do the pharmaceutical companies adopt in regard to this new instrument? Do they see any chance to join?

• ARVs for children
  Due to the new WHO requirements the need for new affordable combinations of ARVs in children dosages increased dramatically. Are pharmaceutical companies able to accept these challenges, especially in view of low and middle income countries?

Participants

We expect about 15 to 20 participants based in HIV/Aids initiatives, NGOs and pharmaceutical companies.

The Round–Table–Meeting will be held on

• Thursday, March 4, 2010, between 15:30 and 17:00
• „Westin Grand Hotel München Arabellapark“, Arabellastr 6, Munich, Germany.
