Signature Campaign "In 9 Monaten" ("in 9 months")
Every year 370,000 newborn babies worldwide are infected with HIV because the
virus is transmitted to them by their own mothers. If an HIV-positive woman takes
anti-retroviral medicine before, during and after the birth of her child, and during
the period of breastfeeding, the risk of passing on the infection can be reduced to
under 5% - even in disadvantaged countries. At the same time, access to prevention,
treatment and support must be ensured for anyone who needs it. So sign now to call
on the German Federal Government to make sufficient funds available to achieve
this goal:
Action against AIDS Germany is going to take these signatures to the German Federal Government in December 2011 and insist that they keep their promise to make prevention, treatment, care and support accessible to all people worldwide.
