Zum 15jährigen Bestehen des Aktionsbündnis gegen AIDS haben wir heute eine Grußbotschaft von Herrn Michel Sidibé, UNAIDS Executive Direktor erhalten. Wir freuen uns über die Anerkennung, die unsere Arbeit dadurch erfährt! UNAIDS ist ein wichtiger strategischer Partner im Kampf gegen AIDS, TB und Malaria. Als Aktionsbündnis nehmen wir seit einiger Zeit an den Treffen der Programm Coordination Board Meetings von UNAIDS teil.

Dear Mr. Wiessner,

I would like to congratulate you and all your colleagues at the Aktionsbündnis gegen AIDS on your 15th anniversary.

For 15 years, you have advocated on behalf of those who are voiceless and left behind, you have called for universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support to all people, and you have held governments, and also UNAIDS, accountable on their behalf.

We have come a long way in the AIDS response over the last 15 years. The once-distant dream to end AIDS is within our grasp and this could have never happened without an active, vibrant and committed civil society, such as Aktionsbündnis.

As you well know, AIDS is not over, nor is success assured. Your role is set to become even more critical to ensure that we do not rest before we have succeeded. We must avoid any sense of complacency.
